“The work is going on:” the SPbGASU team received award of the St. Petersburg Government

On May 28, 2019, an official award ceremony took place in Smolny: prizes of the St. Petersburg Government were awarded for outstanding scientific results in the field of science and technology in the field of higher and secondary vocational education in 2019. Among the winners was a team of SPbGASU.

Ya.B. Vasiliev, P.A. Kravchenko, S.A. Yevtyukov and A.D. Beglov

Sergey A. Yevtyukov, Head of the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines, Pavel A. Kravchenko, Professor and Consultant of the LTTM Department, and Yaroslav V. Vasilyev, Associate Professor of the LTTM Department, were awarded for their work on “Scientific and Practical Basics of the Formation of Road Traffic Safety” in the nomination “Scientific achievements contributing to the improvement of the quality of training specialists and highly qualified personnel.”

SPbGASU Rector Yevgeny I. Rybnov took part in the official ceremony. Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander D. Beglov presented the awards.

I believe that this is the merit of the whole team of our scientific school, of the whole university. Without alma mater, we are nobody. We are grateful to our university.

"Road Traffic Safety Organization"

The Scientific School "Road Traffic Safety Organization" was included in the register of leading research and scientific-pedagogical schools of St. Petersburg in 2013. Its main areas of activity are the elaboration of transport development and management concepts in the region; the development of road safety improvement programs; research and development in the field of road safety; development and implementation of innovative technologies, materials and machines, etc. Members of the scientific school publish articles in journals of the Higher Attestation Commission and Scopus; develop state requirements for the qualification of experts and operators of auto vehicle technical control, and teachers of the three-level system of training of vehicle drivers at driver training schools; conduct international scientific and practical conferences on the “Organization and safety of road traffic in large cities.”

According to E. A. Yevtyukov, the work is going on. The near plans include holding the next, already fourteenth, conference along with participation in the SmartTRANSPORT 2019, the International Innovative Passenger Transport Forum, which will be held on June 19 – 21, 2019 at Expoforum.
