Urban Construction and Public Utilities Faculty
Urban Construction and Public Utilities Faculty is dedicated to training advanced professionals for engineering, research and management in creating and optimizing living environment, designing and constructing building facilities and public installations, designing system schemes for intelligent building and building facility automation.
The Faculty dates back to 1930s, when it was called the Leningrad Institute of Communal Construction Engineers. Afterwards, it underwent several transformations. In its present form, the Faculty was set up in 2006. The teaching personnel numbers 92 highly qualified people, among them 9 DSc-s, 59 PhDs, Associate Professors. There are 618 students, 4 of them are from abroad. Research work is being carried out at the Faculty in the profile direction. There are three laboratories with modern equipment and two computer classes. The modern equipment entitles students under the guidance of their teachers to carry out technical evaluation of immobility. The Faculty`s analytical approach is objective, broad-based, and informed by traditional and applied academic disciplines taught here.
Nowadays, there are six chairs at the faculty four of which grant degrees (in italics):

The graduates of the Faculty get employed in construction, project, and maintenance organizations, in the systems of state, city and district administration (property management committees, property funds, land committees, architecture and urban construction commissions, investments committees, economy and finance committees, city management committees, municipal maintenance bodies and departments of capital construction, etc), in organizations engaged in developing the system of land usage and ownership and implementing the city cadastre.
