The program’s mission is to develop students' personal qualities, as well as the formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies in accordance with the requirements of the educational standard in the field of study 54.03.01 Design considering graduate’s professional activities as 10.028 Architect-designer, 11.013 Graphic designer.

1. Be able to apply knowledge in the field of history and theory of art, history and theory of design in professional activities; consider works of art, design and technology in a broad cultural and historical context in close connection with the religious, philosophical and aesthetic ideas of a particular historical period
2. Be able to work with scientific literature; collect, analyze and summarize the results of scientific research; evaluate the information received; independently carry out research work; participate in scientific and practical conferences
3. Be able to carry out search sketches using visual means and design graphics methods; develop a project idea based on a conceptual, creative approach to solving a design problem; synthesize a set of possible solutions and scientifically substantiate your proposals when developing design objects that satisfy the utilitarian and aesthetic needs of humans (machinery and equipment, vehicles, interiors, printing, consumer goods)
4. Be able to design, model, construct objects, goods, industrial designs and collections, artistic object-spatial complexes, interiors of buildings and structures of the architectural and spatial environment, landscape design objects, using linear constructive construction, color scheme of composition, modern font culture and design methods graphs

Curriculum

The program includes a mandatory part and a part formed by the participants in educational relations. The volume of the mandatory part, excluding the volume of the state final certification, is at least 60% of the total volume of the program in the field of study 54.03.01 Design.

The volume of the program implemented in one academic year is no more than 70 ECTS regardless of the mode of study, the educational technologies used, the implementation of the program using a network form, the implementation of the program according to an individual curriculum (with the exception of accelerated education), and in case of accelerated education - no more than 80 ECTS.

In accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education, the structure of the bachelor’s program in the field of study 54.03.01 Design includes the following blocks:

• Block 1 “Disciplines (modules)”;
• Block 2 “Practice”;
• Block 3 “State final certification”.
