The project aims at accelerating the innovative production and use of wood-based building materials through collaboration and establishing sustainable Nordic–Russian business-to-business and business-academic partnerships in the wood and construction sector.
The objective is to support innovative production and use of wood-based building materials capitalising on the untapped potential for a bio-based economy in North-West Russia.
The project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers and is led by Nordregio, a Nordic research centre for regional development in Stockholm, Sweden.
As a project partner, SPbGASU supports the activities related to education throughout all phases of the project implementation and takes part in establishing cooperation with the regional partners.
Specifically, SPbGASU contributes to fulfilling the following tasks:
- Influence skills development by identifying the gaps in the existing curricula, and sharing learning opportunities between academic institutions.
- Establish contact with the business community to generate a dialogue about the new market demands, skills needed and emerging business opportunities.
- Enable the exchange of technology/experience through webinars and fieldtrips.
