The Russian Science Foundation announces an open public competition for foundation grants in the priority area of activity of the Russian Science Foundation “Conducting fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research by international scientific teams.”
The open public competition is held jointly with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Ministry of Science and Technology of India.
Grants are allocated for the implementation of fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research in 2025–2027 in the fields of knowledge specified in the competition documentation.
Documents submission deadline: 17:00 31 October 2024.
Grant size: from 4 to 7 million rubles annually.
Grants are allocated to Russian research teams for the implementation of scientific, scientific and technical programs and projects selected based on the results of the competition, providing for fundamental scientific research and exploratory scientific research in the following fields of knowledge:
- Mathematics, computer science and systems sciences;
- Physics and space sciences;
- Chemistry and materials sciences;
- Biology and life sciences;
- Basic research for medicine;
- Agricultural sciences;
- Earth sciences;
- Engineering sciences.
A scientific research (project) should be aimed at solving specific problems within one of the scientific priorities determined by the problems of the socio-economic development of society, while the predicted result of the research (project) should be of world level and make a significant contribution to solving the key problems of the specified scientific priority:
- Smart transport and telecommunications;
- Smart healthcare and medicine;
- New Materials;
- Plant and Animal Bio-Technology;
- Clean energy;
- Artificial Intelligence;
- Safe Food;
- Earth Quake and Ocean Science.
The competiton is open to projects from international scientific teams, each consisting of a Russian scientific team and a foreign scientific team.
