Round table "Leningrad region, the territory of promising development. Scientific and educational activities and practice"

As part of the XXXII International Architectural Festival "Zodchestvo", SPbGASU, together with representatives of the Leningrad Region's urban development management bodies, will hold a round table "Leningrad Region, the territory of promising development. Scientific and educational activities and practice".

It is planned to discuss the practices of interaction between SPbGASU and the administration of the Leningrad Region, the inclusion of topics on settlements of the Leningrad Region in the educational process and scientific activities of the SPbGASU Department of Urban Planning at all levels of training: bachelor's, master's, postgraduate. The emphasis is on urban development aspects and issues of preserving architectural heritage.

The round table is to be attended by:

  • Sergey Lutchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Urban Development Policy of the Leningrad Region – Chief Architect of the Leningrad Region;
  • Vladimir Demin, First Deputy General Director of the St Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise of Dacha Services "Prigorodnoye". From 2010 to 2018, Vladimir Anatolyevich was Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development of the Leningrad Region, participated in the development and implementation of regional urban planning standards, the concept of joint urban development of St Petersburg and the Leningrad Region (agglomeration), the forest park belt of St Petersburg;
  • Ekaterina Khmeleva, Deputy Head of the State Budgetary Institution “Urban Development of Territories of the Leningrad Region”;
  • Elena Shevyrtalova, Chairperson of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Development of the Kingissepsky District of the Leningrad Region, Chief Architect of the District;
  • Sergey Emtsov, director of Glav Project SPb LLC.

SPbGASU will be represented by Yulia Yankovskaya, Head of the Department of Urban Planning, and Svetlana Levoshko, Associate Professor at the Department of Urban Planning. Ekaterina Vozniak, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, and Oksana Peslyak, Associate Professor at the Department of Urban Planning, will take part in the discussion.

The event will be moderated by Mikhail Vilensky, Associate Professor at the SPbGASU Department of Urban Planning.

Starts on 13 November at 14:00.
