On 17–20 September, 2024, the International Congress of Young Architects and Designers will be held in Moscow at the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU). It will be held as part of the International Scientific and Practical Symposium "The Future of the Construction Industry: Challenges and Development Prospects", organized under the auspices of the Government of the Russian Federation with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin and Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Fayzullin.
The Congress will bring together representatives of Russian regions and friendly countries. In addition to the main venue, more than 10 preparatory small events will be held in 2024. Up to 2,500 participants are expected in person and more than 5,000 views of the event online.
Goals and objectives:
- strengthening the position of Russian architecture and design in the international community, increasing the export of these services;
- simplification of employment for young professionals, improvement of federal and regional support measures for the development of business of architectural and design bureaus, the industries they create.
Over the course of three days, congress participants will be able to attend more than 70 events – lectures, presentations and master classes from leading and young industry experts. The evening part of the program will feature discussions, workshops, a hackathon and meetings with famous architects and designers. Participants will also be offered an original cultural and sports program both on and off the site.
The congress will include an international competition for young architects and designers, “Step Beyond the Borders.” The congress will conclude with an award ceremony for the finalists of the competition.
