The Interdepartmental Council for Awarding Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of Science and Technology announces a competition of works for the 2025 Russian Government Prizes in Science and Technology for Young Scientists.
The purpose of the competition is to popularize scientific achievements and work in the field of science and technology, as well as to identify promising scientific developments of scientists and teachers.
The competition will accept works for consideration if there are materials and documents confirming the achieved results and their implementation in practice no less than 1 year before the deadline for accepting the work.
Prizes are awarded for the following achievements:
- research and development work resulting in the creation and widespread application in production of fundamentally new technologies, machinery, devices, equipment, materials and substances;
- practical implementation of inventions that open up new directions in engineering and technology;
- research and development applied in the field of exploration, extraction and processing of minerals;
- highly effective scientific and technical developments implemented in practice in the field of production, processing and storage of agricultural products;
- high results in research, development and practical application of new methods and means in medicine and health care;
- scientific, design and technological achievements in the field of construction, architecture and housing and communal services;
- work that contributes to solving problems of ecology and nature conservation;
- research and development that contributes to increasing the efficiency of the real sector of the economy;
- scientific and technical research and development in the interests of the country's defense and security, the results of which are used in the creation of new military and special equipment.
Prizes are awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation, foreign citizens and stateless persons.
The age of applicants, except for the scientific supervisor of the team of young scientists, must not exceed 35 years at the time of nominating the work for the prize.
Works nominated for the awards will be accepted until 20 February 2025.
