"Tourism of the future - the future of tourism"

II International student congress

The Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia announces that the II International Student Congress "Tourism of the Future - the Future of Tourism" will be held on 27 September, 2024 (in a hybrid format). The congress will become a unique online platform for professional dialogue between students and leading experts in the field of tourism in Russia and other CIS countries.

The key topics of the congress will be "The future of tourism and international tourism integration of the CIS", "Sustainable tourism is the tourism of the future", "Tourism in the Union State of Russia and Belarus", "New generation tour guides: more than just a journey!", "Tourism: profession or calling?", "Let's go to the village! Developing agritourism in Russia", "Digitalization: the future of tourism or tourism of the future?", "Tourism, a new driver of the economy", "A grand journey through the Caucasus with Gran Turismo", "Developing tourism with the Russian Geographical Society: projects and expeditions" and others.

The congress is timed to coincide with World Tourism Day and is aimed at educating a new generation of tourists who know Russian and world culture and history, who take care of natural heritage, and who lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

The congress speakers will include Russian and international experts, leaders of the tourism industry, government and public figures, as well as students, master's and PhD students.

During the congress, an international competition of student projects for the development of tourism in Russia and the CIS will be launched.
