On 26 February, the Exhibition hall of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture is opening the exhibition “Architecture of the Arctic. SPbGASU".

The development of Arctic cities and territories in terms of creating a comfortable urban environment and Arctic tourism facilities is one of the priorities for our country. Since 2019, topics dedicated to Arctic architecture, urban planning, and environmental design have been included in the educational programs of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture. During this time, more than 40 diploma projects were prepared for the city of Salekhard and the Kola Peninsula, several Arctic expeditions were conducted, including those as part of the professional competition “Rediscovering Russia”.

The exhibition “Architecture of the Arctic. SPbGASU" summarizes the work in this area over five years of activity. The exhibition is timed to coincide with the II All-Russian Arctic Youth Forum “The Arctic: New Generation”, which will be held on the territory of the Kronstadt Museum of Naval Glory on 5 March, 2024.

The exhibition will run until 20 March.
