The next season of the International Engineering Championship “CASE-IN” is now on. The overall theme of the championship in 2024 is “Lean Production”.

This year, a new direction “Architecture, design, construction and housing and communal services” was introduced. Its full-time qualifying stage will be held at SPbGASU. The strategic partner in this area is the Metropolis company.

Participants will be presented with a case that requires the development of a comprehensive concept for a typical universal multifunctional complex, solutions for various areas of design (including architecture, structural and engineering solutions).

To participate, teams of four to five members must be formed consisting of the following specialists:

• architect;
• designer;
• heating and ventilation engineer;
• water supply and sanitation engineer;
• electrical engineer.

The championship is open to students of the third to sixth years of bachelor's and specialist's programs, and first and second years of master's programs.

Championship schedule:

• 21 February – 18 March: pre-registration for forming teams from SPbGASU;
• until 22 March: registration for participation on the CASE-IN website;
• 25 March: distribution of the case to participants;
• 25 March – 18 April: solving the case in teams and loading the solution into the CASE-IN Simulator software;
• 10 April: in-person qualifying stage at SPbGASU (defense of case solutions in front of experts);
• 28–30 May: in-person final in Moscow at the MISIS University of Science and Technology.

The organizers of the CASE-IN championship are the Reliable Shift Foundation, the Non-Profit Partnership Youth Forum of Mining Leaders and AstraLogika LLC.

SPbGASU teams will be formed from students who have passed pre-registration.
