22nd June, 1941 - the Great Patriotic War beginning, one of the most sorrowful dates in our history. This day an action « Memory Candle» is held in Russia and other countries. We commemorate those who fell in bloody fights of the Great Patriotic War, died at home front, were tortured in fascist captivity.

This day a solemn-mourning ceremony took place at the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering. Students, employees, teachers hold a minute of silence of victims and lighted candles at the military memorial of the university.
