On May 15, 2015 director of the Centre in development of student government and youth initiatives of Saint Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering A.A. Poliarush took part in the Russian conference “Role of student government bodies in solution of students’ problems and furthering students’ initiatives”. In this conference there participated Authorized representative of students’ rights in Russia Artem Khromov, representatives of social organizations, leaders of student government bodies of universities and student ombudsmen of federal subjects of Russia.

During the meeting the participants discussed issues referring student hostels and their problems. In particular they discussed problems of guests staying at student hostels, curfew time, fire safety in education buildings and university hostels and etc. They also paid particular attention to issues concerning development of student government bodies and their work in higher education institutions.
