From 10 till 12th November, 2016 XII European specialized exhibition on restoration and protection of monuments «Denkmal-2016» was held in Leipzig (Germany). As a part of the Petersburg delegation there was a professor of the chair of technology of building materials and metrology of SPSUACE Alexey Mihaylovich Haritonov.
A.M.Haritonov made a report on a theme «Architectural concrete in restoration» and presented the materials applied in St.-Petersburg at restoration of objects of a cultural heritage.
In total representatives of 17 countries took part in the exhibition work. At the stand of St.-Petersburg a project of restoration of Smolny cathedral was presented, and there was a master class on creation of a decorative panel in the technician «marquetry» on a machine tool DONKEY MARQUETRY, recreated on drawings and descriptions of XVIII-XIX centuries of a professor Pierre Raymond. A company "AZHIO" presented new workings out in the field of restoration materials technology, and also a master class on a technology of drawing of the stone plaster simulating a natural stone was given. The Institute "Lenproject restoration" presented a project of the adaptation of Petrovsky docks in Kronstadt for a museum-expocentre placing « Russian centre of underwater archeology»), and a company "Petrorestcom" – a project of restoration of the Oak room of Anichkov palace, interiors of the Chinese palace in Oranienbaum, restorations of the New Farm building in Peterhof. A company "Demetra" presented a project of complex restoration of the Big palace of prince Menshikov in Oranienbaum. A company "Geoizol" presented a developed technology on the reconstruction of basements of the New Tsarskoselsky (Aleksandrovsky) palace.
The union of restorers of St.- Petersburg appeared among 10 participants noted by gold medals of the exhibition. The union became the first Russian public organization which received the similar award for all history of «Denkmal».
Active participation of the professor of SPSUACE in the work of the exhibition of the international level gave a chance to show achievements of the university and to make new contacts.
