The acceptance of applications for the federal competition among construction organizations "Strong Builder of Russia" is underway. The competition was established in 2020 on the initiative of SPbGASU and the INFOSMIT construction laboratory in response to a request from the professional community to highlight the most open, stable and progressive companies among the active participants in the construction market: from large developers and constructors to small regional contractors with any form of business.
The competition is supported by the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the Committee for Construction and Gosstroynadzor of St Petersburg, the association NOSTROY, industry-specific public organizations. The strategic partners of the project are the BAZICON National Conformity Assessment System, ANO "Scientific and Consulting Center "Educational Systems and Projects"" and JSC "Information Company "Kodeks"".
Evgeny Rybnov, the SPbGASU Rector, notes: “In the context of today's rapidly changing construction, it is important to single out precisely those construction companies that are not afraid of disclosure and publicity, are open to external evaluation and operate in accordance with the principles of maintaining high construction standards, the quality of work process organization and compliance of the main indicators of the constructed structures with the requirements of the project.
Konstantin Dmitriev, General Director of INFOSMIT LLC, emphasizes: “As a construction laboratory, we analyze, evaluate and test various building materials, products and structures every day. Over many years of work, our team has learned not only to see deviations from project requirements, but also to minimize their consequences. I am sure that the competition will openly show the activities of the best construction organizations and give a creative impetus to all participants in the construction industry.”
The Organizing Committee accepts applications for the competition constantly on any day of the calendar year. The participant can declare for participation objects under construction (including those at the zero construction cycle) - no more than one object in a calendar year in one nomination. Within 15 working days after the internal / external audit of the declared object, the participant is sent a letter with the results of the competition, as well as award documents (winner's diploma and certificate of conformity).
According to the organizers, open professional competitions with a clear evaluation system and transparent work of the organizers at all stages of the competition are an additional measure to improve the management system within the companies themselves, regardless of the scale of their activities. At the same time, the Strong Builder of Russia project has a number of peculiarities.
First, it is the scale. The contestant has the right to declare his strongest direction for the competition, choosing the appropriate one from 22 nominations: experts evaluate residential new buildings, commercial facilities and industrial buildings, reconstruction and overhaul works. Separate nominations are provided for projects for the construction of engineering communications, as well as the improvement of courtyards, parks and adjacent territories.
Secondly, professional assessment. According to the results of the competition, each winner receives not only a diploma, but also an official document - a certificate of experience and business reputation compliance with the requirements of GOST R 66.1.03-2016, which significantly increases his professional status in the eyes of current and future counterparties. The document is issued by the strategic partner of the competition - the National Conformity Assessment System BAZICON.
Thirdly, the expert staff. The evaluation committee is composed of recognized construction experts and practitioners working throughout Russia. The number of experts is constantly expanding, and the current staff can always be viewed on the project website in the “Experts” section. The experts staff includes several specialists from SPbGASU.
The fourth feature of the competition is its transparency: each participant of the competition is evaluated according to 10 criteria, and the results are published in the independent rating online magazine Strong Builder of Russia in the form of final reports with expert comments.
And, finally, at the end of the year, anyone can get acquainted with the rating of the best companies in a particular nomination and region of activity.
The competition is only taking off, and every year there are more and more participants. According to the Regulations on the competiton, the participant has the right to declare a new construction object every year. This gives him the advantage to always remain in the rankings in the first positions.
Since 2020, the winners of the competition have become companies of various philosophy and scale: from regional individual entrepreneurs to leading developers.
