The student of the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport of Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Ksenia Tsvetik, under the supervision of the Associate Professor of the Department of Forensic Expertise and Criminalistics, O.G. Karnaukhova, SPSUACE, developed the methods for investigating the company's accounting records by the forensic economic expertise.
This theme is relevant in connection with the large number of crimes in the economy. Forensic expertise with special knowledge is often made with the purpose of revealing the facts of violation of accounting records and collecting evidence for such crimes.
In her qualification work, K. Tsvetik analyzed and classified the theoretical aspects and methods of forensic economic expertise, and gave recommendations for their improvement.
The student of the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport, Z. Terentyeva, under the supervision of V.B. Kharchenko, Professor of the department of forensic expertise and criminalistics, defended her qualification work under the title "The Use of Modern Methods in the Conduct of Engineering and Technical Expertise."
The work is dedicated to the latest achievements in the field of engineering and technical expertise. In particular, for rapid and accurate information retrieval the BIM approach and 3D scanning are proposed to be used actively. "Today's forensic expert does not walk with a magnifying glass, like Sherlock Holmes, but with a hand-held scanner. And he studies the received material on the computer, " –Professor V.B. Kharchenko says.
