The "Saint Petersburg" TV channel showed a story in the program “We Explain. SPb" about the new rules for driving electric scooters, which will come into force on 1 March. How far these rules will protect traffic was commented by Ilya Brylev, an expert from the SPbGASU Institute of Road Safety, associate professor at the SPbGASU department of land transport and technological machines.

It is necessary to regulate traffic – with signs, markings. Minimize conflict points, separate traffic flows. Of course, it is impossible to completely separate some participants from others in a metropolis. But a sound idea is that drivers of personal mobility aids will also be able to move along bicycle and shared paths. I think there will be fewer conflicts.
