On 21st March, 2018 BIM-Championship on information modeling of buildings opened in the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering.
The championship purpose - revealing the best practices of information technology application in the field of industrial civil engineering and development of communicative skills and abilities to team interdisciplinary work of future experts of the building branch.
Championship target audience - young experts of 17-22 years, schoolboys, parents, teachers.
The championship is supported by the company AOCG. Work of the participants is estimated by experts of the University and independent experts - representatives of design organizations having long-term successful experience of using BIM-technologies in real practice of designing buildings.
The championship gives possibilities:
- To schoolboys - to touch the future profession, to make professional choice.
- To students - to show the level of skill possession.
- To sponsors - possibility to be remembered by schoolboys and to participate in formation of a future society, possibility to co-operate with future candidates on employment.
According to the pro-rector on study i. R.Lugovskaya, BIM-training in SPSUACE began 1, 5-2 years ago. Some students and teachers have already passed several grade levels in the additional education system. There are held open lectures with the invitation of leading experts in this area, round tables, seminars, are made business contacts with the enterprises which use BIM in their activity. «BIM-technologies in civil engineering urged to provide increase of competitiveness of the Russian building complex, to create new high- skilled workplaces, to raise quality and to lower the cost price of engineering researches, designing, building, reconstruction, capital repairs of objects», - said I. R.Lugovskaja.
The assistant to the general director of the Association of builders of St.-Petersburg B.I.Lysich, the director of "Bolsheprolet" O.V.Tokarev, the supervisor of studies of the Design office SPSUACE «Clever city» A. G.Chernyh wished the participants of the Championship success.
BIM-championship will last till 26th March. Competitions will be held in the Design office «Clever city» on the address: St.-Petersburg, Rozenshteyn St, 32.
