On 6th December, 2017 a session of a working group under the chairmanship of the pro-rector on study Irina Lugovskaya was held in the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering. One of agenda questions was consideration of the concept of creation of " Center of BIM-technologies of SPSUACE».
Within the limits of the presented Concept it is supposed to create the uniform centre of skills in the field of BIM, providing the complex approach to introduction of the advanced information technology at all stages of life cycle of projects in SPSUACE.
As key directions of the activity of the Center it is offered to allocate the following:
- educational programs for students;
- working out programs of improvement of professional skill and specialized courses within the limits of system of additional vocational training;
- interaction with leading design and building companies applying BIM, for the organization of training and the subsequent employment of graduates;
- creation of an Internet portal for maintenance of activity of the Center and increase of efficiency of communications of students, teachers, employers and other participants of the project.
Teachers of profile departments, heads of system of additional training of the University, representatives of student's and professional building community participated in the session.
All participants of the meeting underlined an urgency of development of the given direction in SPSUACE taking into account annual growth of demand from outside employers on the qualified experts possessing professional skills of realization of projects with application of BIM-technologies.
«At present all largest building and developers’ companies have already introduced or are in a stage of introduction of BIM-technologies in the activity. At the level of the largest subjects - Moscow and St.-Petersburg – plans of stage-by-stage use of technologies of information modeling in the building complex have been coordinated and are being realized, including placing the state order. Thus, the next years we will feel essential increase in requirement for the qualified experts for realization of such projects. “ I am sure that the key HIGH SCHOOL of the building branch – SPSUACE will be the leader on professional training in the given direction”, - said Alexey Agafonov, the chairman of the Advisory council on BIM-technologies of « Russian guild of managing directors and developers”.
