Day of Russian Students
25 January is the holiday of Russian students. In 1755, on St. Tatiana's Day, Empress Elizaveta Petrovna signed a decree establishing the first national university in Moscow.

Tatiana's day is dearly loved by everyone who has ever been a student and keeps in his heart a thirst for knowledge, search, discoveries. After all, student years are the time when you make friends and open up new horizons.
✔ Students of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering are confidently declaring themselves in science, sports, art, and work. In December, a grandiose event took place at the university: the inter-faculty creative competition Golden Faculty, which became a gift for the 15th anniversary of the SPbGASU Student Council. Bright concert performances were prepared by all participants. Faculty of Architecture became "Golden".
The GASU Career Club became the winner of the All-Russian competition "The Best Practice of Student Self-Government in Higher Educational Institutions", having received a special prize in the nomination "The Best System of Career Support and Employment of Students".
Sofia Lisitsinskaya, a fourth-year bachelor's student at the Faculty of Economics and Management, was awarded a scholarship from the Government of St Petersburg. In her scientific works, Sofia explores economics digitalization. At the same time, she finds time for rehearsals and performances as part of a dance team, classes in a photo studio and a media studio at the Kirpich Student Creativity Club.
In 2022, the creative teams of the Kirpich Club became laureates and diploma winners of a number of competitions. SPbGASU athletes won awards at St Petersburg and All-Russian student competitions in various sports.
The large-scale project Open for Students ended in the SPbGASU Student Media Center. The project has become an educational platform for teaching students how to organize extracurricular activities in various areas and develop their creative abilities.
“On this significant day, I sincerely wish our youth success in their studies, self-confidence, new victories and achievements. Dear friends, the university has high hopes for you and is ready to support your good undertakings. We try to create all the conditions for the implementation of youth initiatives, interesting and useful projects, successful scientific activities,” Evgeny Rybnov, the SPbGASU Rector, congratulated the students.
