Delegation of Dresden Technical University (Germany) visited SPbGASU
Last Friday, a delegation of the Dresden Technical University (Germany) visited SPbGASU. The guests made a tour of the university, met with its leaders and teaching staff.
Colleagues from the German university were shown Dresden-related artifacts stored in the library.
“We are interested to know how the structure of your faculties and departments is built, how the educational process is organized, the ratio of lectures, laboratory and practical classes. For future cooperation, it is important for us to know about research activities and research priorities,” said the head of the delegation, Director of the Institute for Construction Organization Dr. Otto Jens.
During the meeting, Irina R. Lugovskaya, SPbGASU Vice-Rector for External Relations told representatives of Dresden Technical University about one of the oldest technical universities in Russia.
Over the long historical period, the name of our university has repeatedly changed. But the essence of its work has remained the same. Architects, builders, transport workers (road workers) have always been trained here. SPbGASU is the largest university in Northwest of Russia providing for comprehensive training in these three areas. The university has a good reputation both in terms of scientific and educational activities. For example, we have six doctoral councils at SPbGASU! As for educational activities, a consistently high competition upon admission to the university is an evidence of the quality of education.
According to foreign delegates, Dresden Technical University has many international partners.
Almost every student, while studying, takes a travel abroad to learn a foreign language, get acquainted with the peculiarities of a particular country.
Mutually beneficial cooperation will open up new opportunities and allow our two universities to develop more productively.
Dresden Technical University (Technische Universität Dresden, TUD) is one of the foremost and fastest growing universities in Germany. It consists of five schools (areas of training) and 18 faculties. The university has 32,389 students, of whom 15% are from abroad, and 4,559 budget-funded employees. {gallery name="Дрезден делегация 16092019"}
