On May 27, 2015 delegation of Hamburg University HafenCity visited SPSUACE. The delegation – president of the University Valter Pelka, chancellor of the University Stefani Egerland-Rau, director of the International department Kristian Briuk, dean of the Faculty of Architecture Michael Kokh, professor Jorg Zivek – visited the museum of SPSUACE history and the museum of Petersburg brick. After having finished the tour about the University they met rector of SPSUACE Evgeny I. Rybnov and discussed further cooperation of the universities. Later the German delegation presented HafenCity university to the deans of the faculties – they told about the university structure and scientific and research activity.

HafenCity University is our old partner, with which we have been cooperating since 2007. Within the frame of this cooperation students of our universities worked together upon engineering design of various objects. The universities have also been practicing student exchange programmes. Now three students of the faculty of architecture of SPSUACE are studying at Hamburg.

During this visit the German partners invited our University to participate in the 1^st international summer school for Baltic region countries – Finland, Germany, Poland and Denmark. This year the summer school will be held for participants of Erasmus programme, so our representatives are invited as observers. However next year the university is supposed to take part in the summer school fully. Main idea of these summer schools is cross-disciplinary solution of tasks by specialists of various areas: not only architects, but also civil engineers, environmentalists and economists.

This visit of the German delegation became an important stage in development of further cooperation between SPSUACE and HafenCity University of Hamburg.
