The SPbGASU delegation visited the Youth Day of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum.
The event took place on 13 September on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU, Russky Island, Vladivostok). The co-organizers were the Roscongress Foundation and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
Anastasia Latkina, specialist of the Division of Social and Extracurricular Student Activities, Nikita Kazantsev and Mikhail Popov, second-year bachelor's students at the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building, took part in sessions on topics relevant to youth.
The discussion centered on the prospects for the development of IT business with East Asian, African and Latin American countries, establishing effective relations with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and youth cooperation with representatives of other countries, initiatives of volunteer movements, issues of patriotic education of youth and much more.
Nikita Kazantsev shared his impressions: “What struck me most was the scale of the forum. A huge number of stands, innovations, people who came with clearly defined goals - to find new partners, gain new opportunities. It’s useful to participate in such events to broaden your horizons and look at the problems that need to be solved fr om a different angle,” he noted.
- Nikita plans to apply the knowledge gained at the forum to his native university, wh ere he holds the position of cultural organizer.
“I liked the spirit of partnership that saturated the entire FEFU territory. It felt like we were doing one big thing for the good of the country. We have new ideas for projects. A very fruitful trip!” – Mikhail Popov summarized.
