National Unity Day is celebrated in Russia on 4 November. This is one of the most important public holidays, which symbolizes the unity of the multinational Russian people, their love for the Motherland, the desire to see our country as a great and prosperous power.
On this day back in 1612, soldiers of the people's militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders, demonstrating an example of heroism and unity of the entire people, regardless of origin, religion and position in society.
National Unity Day is a holiday for everyone. Events, concerts, marches, and charity events are being held throughout the country to remind us that we must be united.
