27 January 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of the full liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade.
For almost 900 days lasted the events that became an example of the greatest courage and unprecedented heroism. Residents and defenders of the city showed the incredible fortitude. Despite hunger, bombing, losses and hardships, they won the battle with the enemy.
Students, staff, and teachers of the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute (now SPbGASU) took part in the defense of the city, were involved in the events aimed to preserve buildings and historical monuments, and in developing plans for the restoration of what was destroyed. The heroic feat will never be forgotten.
A low bow to veterans, siege survivors and home front workers - everyone who defended Leningrad and brought the Great Victory closer!
