The day of reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia is celebrated on 18 March. The year 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of this event.
The Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol became part of the Russian Federation on 18 March, 2014. President Vladimir Putin met with the Crimean delegation in the St. George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, where a corresponding agreement was signed. This was preceded by a referendum held on 16 March, 2014, in which the majority of residents voted for the reunification with Russia.
Traditionally, ceremonial and festive events with folk festivals and fireworks take place on this day. In Crimea, 18 March has been declared a non-working holiday.
St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering is open to interaction with universities in new constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
In 2016, SPbGASU entered into a cooperation agreement with the Crimean Federal University named after V. I. Vernadsky. The document provides for the conduct of fundamental and applied research as part of joint projects held by research centers, institutes, and laboratories; implementation of joint educational programs for vocational education and much more.
Since 2021, a cooperation agreement between our university and Sevastopol State University has been in effect. Cooperation is developing in the field of research activities, training highly qualified personnel in the field of science, technology and innovation, conducting research work.
