Ten graduation projects of bachelor graduates of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture were presented at an exhibition in the City Cultural Center of Pskov. The projects are dedicated to the improvement of the Pskov district of Zavelichye (the intersection of Yubileinaya and Yan Rainis streets), the right bank of the Velikaya River from Varlaamovskaya Tower to Almaznaya Street, and the Yablonevy Orchard area on Kuznetskaya Street.

According to Aleksey Perov, Senior Lecturer at the SPbGASU Department of Architectural Environment Design, the Pskov branch of the Union of Architects of Russia proposed the topics of the graduation projects as the most relevant and controversial. These topics were considered and approved at the meeting of the Department in September 2022.

“The task of the students was to present to the attention of the Pskov architectural community a fresh look at the conceptual development of the territories. The proposals turned out to be very interesting and quite professional. The experts noted an integrated approach to the creation of the architectural environment, which maintains a delicate balance between the historical and architectural and planning context,” said Aleksey Perov.

The Pskov branch of the Union of Architects of Russia, according to its chairman Vladimir Vasiliev, has gained valuable experience in cooperation with the university and plans to continue cooperation with SPbGASU in the future. Proposals that will find support among residents, the architectural community and the Administration of the city of Pskov can be recommended for implementation.
