5 - 7th April,2017 the 70th anniversary  All-Russia scientific-practical conference of students, post-graduate students and young scientists «Actual problems of modern building»  was working at the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering

A section « First steps in science» was organized within the limits of the conference. Participants of the conference became students of College of the building industry and municipal economy, and also pupils of 9 and 10 classes of Petersburg schools №87, №109, №246 in which at the initiative of SRO «Association of builders of SPb» building classes were opened. Members of pedagogical collectives of the schools and College of the building industry and municipal economy, teachers of SPSUACE also took part in the section work: a leading expert of SRO «Association of designers» T.N.Andreeva, a senior lecturer of the Chair of Technology of Building Materials and Metrology V.D.Staroverov, a senior lecturer of the Chair of Building Manufacture D.D.Tishkin, a senior lecturer of the Chair of Organization Management A. V.Haritonovich, a senior teacher of the Chair of Legal Regulation of Town-planning Activity N.L.Pisarev.

The section work was run by the responsible secretary of admitting committee of SPSUACE  A.V.Zazykin and the chairman of the council of NIRS SPSUACE K.J.Mazneva. There were more than ten reports. The future builders showed a great interest to the themes presented in the reports and actively entered into polemics.

It is necessary to notice that the similar section has been organized for the first time. Due to this section the conference got a big professional orientation importance. A. V.Zazykin expressed hope that this initiative will cause interest in a wide range of pupils both in St.-Petersburg and in other cities and will receive the continuation next year.
