Exhibition "Staraya Ladoga From The Eyes of Conservation Architects"

On September 20 an exhibition "Staraya Ladoga from the Eyes of Conservation Architects" is held in Leningrad Oblast Public Law Management Committee where students of the Department of Architectural and urban planning heritage show their art works.

These are the results of SPbGASU students’ summer internship sponsored by Russian Union of Restorers and OOO “AMG-technology”. The students visited Staraya Ladoga Fortress with St. George’s Church, St. John Prodromos Church, Staraya Ladoga Monastery and Nunnery and burial mounds of Volkhov.

SPbGASU annually organizes summer interns to ancient Russian cities. Professor Voznyak: “Field work is a key part of education at the Department of Architectural and urban planning heritage. Staraya Ladoga is the first capital of Russia. The students have examined Old Russian Architecture of 12th century, Monastery Architecture of 12th-19th centuries and learned modern restoration methods”.

The exhibition is held on 6 Lafonskaya Ulitsa, Saint-Petersburg.
