Focus on energy saving in urban infrastructure
Within the framework of the V International scientific and practical conference "Actual problems of the fuel and energy complex: physics, extraction, production, transmission, processing and environmental protection" (APEC-V-2022) on June 23, the SPbGASU department of electrical power energetics and equipment held a round table "Energy saving technical systems of urban infrastructure facilities”. The event was attended by representatives of VNIITransmash JSC, NPO 122 UMR LLC, Avangard JSC, teachers of specialized universities.
Associate Professor of St Petersburg Mining University Vitaly Fedotov, Ravil Safiullin, Igor Prutchikov, Viktor Reznichenko, CEO of NPO 122 UMR Vasily Kamlyuk and Dmitry Gorlatov
The speakers shared the results of theoretical scientific research, opinions on promising areas for the development of energy efficiency and energy saving at urban infrastructure facilities, smart energy in a modern city, ecological and electric transport, operation of transport electrical equipment and automation, smart energy in urban transport.
The moderator of the round table, professor at the SPbGASU department of electrical power energetics and equipment Ravil Safiullin emphasized the need to develop our own Russian solutions for automating infrastructure facilities: charging stations for electric vehicles, autonomous and intelligent buildings, real-time monitoring systems for power consumers, smart transport stops, etc. He also noted that SPbGASU, as a specialized university, should deal with this area as a priority.
The head of the department of electric power energetics and equipment, Viktor Reznichenko, spoke about the areas of training at the department, the students studying modern methods of designing power supply systems based on BIM technologies. Separately, he focused on students obtaining competencies in the field of "smart home" technologies, which have become an important part of the training of a specialist in the field of electric power industry.
Professor at the department Igor Prutchikov devoted his speech to modern technologies for constructing an "autonomous" building, an integral assessment of automated technical means and life support systems for building structures. “We are always happy to exchange experience between the university and enterprises. Identification of common ground in the tasks solved by researchers in educational and scientific institutions and engineers at enterprises will allow us to more effectively work out the problems of energy efficiency of urban infrastructure facilities,” he added.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize and hold an international conference on this topic at SPbGASU in early 2023.
