On 26–28 June, Rostov-on-Don hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Forum “Safety in Science and Education. Prevention workshop." The event was organized by the National Center for Informational Counteraction to Terrorism and Extremism in the Educational Environment and Internet together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. SPbGASU was represented at the forum by the Head of the Youth Policy Division Irina Nuryeva.

The opening of the event, plenary sessions and the work of the platforms were attended by First Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee Igor Kulyagin, Director of the Department of Information Policy and Integrated Security of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Andrey Tolmachev, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Southern Federal District Vladimir Gurba, First Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Igor Guskov, Director of the National Center for Informational Counteraction to Terrorism and Extremism in the Educational Environment and Internet Sergey Churilov.

“Prevention Workshop” is a platform where representatives of coordination centers and specialists in preventive and educational work shared the best practices in countering the ideology of terrorism and extremism. The program included foresight sessions, lectures, master classes, interactive platforms, and reviews of best practices.

“The event brought together representatives of coordination centers, vice-rectors and specialists in educational work and youth policy in an effort to make preventive work effective and exciting. We were able not only to discuss problematic issues of preventive activities in the educational environment with colleagues, but also to propose the most effective ways to solve them,” noted Irina Nuryeva.
