Representatives of government authorities, industry companies and all interested saw how VR glasses help SPbGASU students study educational material at the Smart Labor training site and in the Laboratory of Digital Building Information Models. Unexpected moments from practical classes in information technology at our university were presented at the photo exhibition “Emotions in IT”, organized as part of the X International Forum “IT Dialogue 2023”. The forum took place on 9–11 November, 2013 at the St Petersburg Expoforum.

St Petersburg Vice-Governor Stanislav Kazarin said in his Telegram channel that the main characters of the photos were employees of leading IT companies and telecom operators, students and specialists of industry universities, employees of enterprises in one way or another related to digital technologies.

Information technologies, including those used in SPbGASU, were captured from unusual angles by the famous photographer Aleksandr Petrosyan. Thus, the author of the photo exhibition drew attention to the nuances of the work of an IT specialist and emphasized the diversity of professions in the information technology industry.

“The Smart Labor training site is an innovative educational environment containing 12 interactive learning modules aimed at developing a safe behavioral model for the student. The training methodology includes training in a virtual environment on a digital twin of the training site. The photography revealed the possibilities of using augmented reality technology in analyzing the events that led to the accident,” explained Andrey Nikulin, director of the Smart Labor training site.

Aleksandr Petrosyan said that working on this project was a new and interesting experience for him. “IT technology is something that was missing for most of my life. But it turns out that the future has already arrived!” – he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Stanislav Kazarin assured that the photo exhibition was an interesting addition to the forum.
