A solemn ceremony took place at SPbGASU on 1 July: Vice-Rector for Educational Activitiy Sergey Mikhailov and Head of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Applicants Olga Baskina presented certificates of successful completion of the Russian language course to students of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Applicants.

Students from more than twenty countries began the course in October and performed well at the end of the course. In addition to the Russian language, they studied general education subjects necessary for further studies in Russian. Throughout the academic year, in addition to classes, students of the Preparatory Department visited museums and got acquainted with Russian culture and traditions.

Head of the Department of Intercultural Communication Elena Selezneva and lecurer at the Department of Structural Physics Tatiana Rogozhina warmly congratulated future architects, builders, engineers, programmers on the successful completion of the preparatory department.

Now graduates of the course can study at St Petersburg universities in various technical areas. Some of them will remain at our university and continue their studies at bachelor’s or master’s degrees.
