IPTS graduates
– I wish all our graduates to rise up the career ladder, develop their business, increase revenue, happiness and well-being. Our students are goal-oriented, success-motivated people striving to acquire fundamental and practical knowledge and master new competencies. Combining work and study, they achieved their goal – they received a higher education, – said Elena Aleksandrova, director of the Institute of Part-Time Studies.
Among the best final qualifying works is Anastasia Britvina's dissertation "Application of the earned value management method in monitoring the construction time of a high-rise hotel building in Moscow" (supervisor – PhD in Technical Sciences, associate professor Sergey Bovteev).
– In her work, Anastasia solved two problems. The first is an analysis of the organization features of the high-rise buildings construction on the example of public buildings construction in Moscow. The second is to explore opportunities for applying the earned value management method to control the timing of work on the construction schedule,” says Sergey Bovteev.
Another final qualifying work, noted by the commission, is Igor Alekseev's dissertation "Development of a method for organizing work on the reconstruction of a cultural heritage object: a building of a sub-base section" (supervisor – PhD in Technical Sciences, associate professor Vera Chelnokova).
– Igor's work is very interesting and promising in terms of practical application. The graduate has accumulated extensive experience in the reconstruction of buildings of the Admiralty shipyards and other historical buildings of St. Petersburg, – says Vera Chelnokova.
The work by Dmitry Lazba “Determining the cost of construction and installation works for a capital construction object for participation in contract bidding” was also noted (supervisor – Doctor of Economics, associate professor Vadim Koshcheev).
– The topic of the final qualifying work by Dmitry Lazba is relevant in the current conditions, when the formed market economy is forced to change due to the geopolitical situation, which directly affects the development of various industries, including construction. The state needs to improve the institutions on whose activities the socio-economic development of the country depends, for example, the institution of the contract system, public procurement and contract bidding. In his work the student, using a specific example, developed recommendations for determining the estimated cost of a capital construction object for participation in contract bidding and, based on the developed recommendations, determined the initial maximum price of the contract, – said Vadim Koshcheev.
– The brightest impressions I had were from the SPbGASU teachers, who are able to turn complex material into easily accessible. I am immensely grateful to them for their desire not only to give knowledge, but also for their readiness to help the student when he puts this knowledge into practice. You experience a magical feeling when you rush with the baggage of acquired knowledge to defend your graduation project, for which you are completely ready! After I completed my studies at SPbGASU, I received an offer to take the position of an operation engineer, – said Pavel Zhogolev, a graduate of the IPTS.
