On 12th April, 2017 a solemn opening ceremony of Х International competition «Macaroni builder» took place at the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering.

Organizers of "Macaroni builder» became the Chair of Architectural Design, Department of social and non-learning work with students and Student council of SPSUACE.

56 high school teams of Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Ufa, Vologda, Belgorod, Minsk (Belarus) are taking part in the competition. Among the participants there are teams of specialized building classes of schools №246 and №109 of St.-Petersburg.

The competition purposes are developing creative activity of students, revealing talents and following the university traditions.

There are two nominations: «Building of the highest construction» ("Towers") and «Building of a construction with the greatest flight» ("Bridges").As building materials may be used only macaroni and plasticine.

At the opening of the competition participants were welcomed by the pro-rector on external relations and youth policy of SPSUACE I.J.Lapina, the head of the chair of architectural design S. G.Golovina, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ecology and Municipal Economy E.A.Shesterov and other members of competitive jury. «Here should be shown logic of the scientist, skill of the executor, inspiration of the artist», - E.A.Shesterov said. - «Your works should keep their forms for a 24-hour day.
