The list of the most promising universities projects in key technological areas has been announced. The ArchNet project, authored by SPbGASU student Nikita Kravtsov, was included in the top 1000.
ArchNet is an automated solution that generates building layouts and plantings based on a floor plan and site plan assignment. Combining advanced neural network and urban environment analysis methods, this software enables architects and developers to analyze the territory, optimizing the process of designing and planning urban development.
We interviewed the project leader Nikita Kravtsov, a sixth-year student at the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building.

– Nikita, tell us about your project.
– Our project is called ArchNet. It is a modern solution for architects and developers, which allows creating the necessary planning solutions for a plot of land, and also helps to evaluate the profitability of the construction for the developer.
– How did you come up with the idea to create the ArchNet project?
– I believe that everything good happens in our lives completely by chance, and this is what happened with this project. Everything came together on the opening day of the TechnoPiter accelerator, where we are currently participating. I came there with a completely different project, focused on TIM modeling, but after the speech of one of the accelerator partners, Dmitry Olegovich Gladkovsky, from the development company GLORAX, my decision quickly changed. I was delighted, I saw that the project combined everything I needed, everything I wanted to do. When I realized this, I immediately took the initiative, assembled a team and got to work.
– Tell us about your team.
– We have a great team that combines different competencies, and everyone in the project does what they love. Without them, nothing would have worked. Everything that concerns architecture is done by Ralina Kunafina, a fifth-year student of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture. This is the person who knows everything about the architectural component: how to correctly arrange a house, the layout of apartments. And if she doesn’t know, she will find where to look, or come up with something. As for the development of the software itself, Artem Aidullin, a student of SPbGUAP, is in charge of this. He is a beginner ML specialist. When we started, it was an interesting case for him, and now it’s almost his main occupation. In addition, we paid a lot of attention to marketing. Natalia is in charge of this, she is an industrial and civil engineer and has already graduated from our university. Her role is very important: she prepares presentation materials for us and creates the general atmosphere of the team, its image. My task is not to be afraid of making mistakes and to move forward, despite the difficulties. Of course, there are always risks, and you need to be able to manage them. Our task is not just to make a project, earn money and go our separate ways. It is to create a tool that will easily integrate into the latest solutions and meet the demands of society.
– Share your emotions about your project making it to the TOP-1000.
– I wouldn't say that this is a very huge victory. All the main victories are still ahead of us. But this is a result and recognition, and we really appreciate it. Of course, nothing would have happened without our university, which gave us the opportunity to participate. And the most important thing is the attention and care of our teachers, who supported and treated us with understanding along the way.
– What are your future plans?
– Our current plans are to complete the MVP, launch a pilot project and reach the first sales. We are always ready for cooperation, looking for partners and ready to interact!
From the editors. We believe that such victories at SPbGASU will become more and more numerous every year, and technological entrepreneurship will become increasingly popular among students. The SPbGASU Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Career is ready to help you start your own project.
