The SPbGASU team consisting of a third-year student of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services Pavel Danev and first-year students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Sofia Dorosh, Ekaterina Dyachkova, Danil Latypov, Angelina Makrenko, Aleksey Mashigin, Elizaveta Tkachenko, Arina Sharavina and Roman Ein became the winner of the II All-Russian professional competition of student projects "CAD-Perspective" in the nomination "Special Prize "Group work"". The competition was organized by Nanosoft Development, a Russian developer of engineering software.
Led by the Associate Professor at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics Yuliana Guryeva and Head of the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics Elena Denisova, the students created a 3D model of the "Uspenskoe" cottage. The model contains a variety of architectural elements and a truss system - the basis of a complex multi-pitched roof. The project also includes student-designed 2D drawings that fully match the 3D model.
Working on the project, the participants of the competition improved their skills in using CAD - a computer-aided design system, and received an assessment of their work in the program from the experts of Nanosoft Development.
