
On 30 October, the exhibition hall of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture opened an exhibition of final qualifying works participating in the annual International Review-Competition of the best graduate works in architecture, design and art.
The review competition is held by the Interregional Public Organization for the Promotion of Architectural Education (MOOSAO) with the support of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, the Russian Academy of Arts, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the International Association of Unions of Architects, the International Union of Designers, the Union of Architects of Russia, the Union of Designers of Russia and the Union of Artists of Russia.

As Ekaterina Vozniak, dean of the Faculty of Architecture, said, teachers selected the most interesting projects for the exhibition. If they are awarded prizes, the relevant information will be displayed at the exhibition. The works of students of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture have repeatedly won the MOOSAO competition. Ekaterina Vozniak is confident that this year will also be successful. “We are waiting for new victories,” said the dean.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, distinguished students of the Faculty of Architecture were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.
For the best design of the SPbGASU calendar 2024, awards were given to fourth-year bachelor's students Ulyana Smetanina, Laura Nanieva and Anastasia Popova. Students Anastasia Perlina, Arina Tintunen, Aurika Andreeva, Anastasia Vikarchuk and Stanislava Kuzmina were recognized for their work on the admissions committee.
The student Bogdan Lobanov was awarded for the most lively and creative report at the architectural environment design section of the LXXVI Regional Scientific and Practical Conference of Students, Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists “Current Issues of Modern Construction”.
For participation in the Interuniversity competition of student projects “The concept of the tourist destination “Pashsky Perevoz””, two SPbGASU teams of authors were awarded diplomas and gifts from the organizers. One of the teams included Vladislav Yatskovich, Vladislav Lobko, Irina Ivashkina, Aleksandra Petrova, Yana Alferova. The other team consisted of Daria Inozemtseva, Dmitry Polonsky, Lyubava Chesnokova, Olga Semenova, Valeria Finina and Ksenia Lapsina. The teams were led by teachers of the Department of Architectural Environment Design, Associate Professor Yan Korzhempo, Senior Lecturer Aleksey Perov and Assistant Elena Zavyalova.
The competition was held on the initiative of the St Petersburg Union of Designers. Its goal was to create in the Pashsky rural settlement (Volkhov district of the Leningrad region) socially significant territories and objects that form a modern competitive tourism product.
“The Pashsky Perevoz tourist destination includes a number of historical and cultural monuments. Our teams have developed concepts based on an integrated approach. We have created such proposals, thanks to which tourists will be able to get acquainted with all the historical and cultural facets of these places,” commented Aleksey Perov.
