On 11 April, the SPbGASU Faculty of Automobile and Road Building held a grand opening of the AXELOT LAB training laboratory. The opening was held by the dean of the faculty Andrey Zazykin, the head of the Department of Transport Systems Stanislav Evtyukov and the director for business development of the AXELOT company, specializing in automation in the field of logistics, Artem Dolgikh. The opening was also attended by teachers and students of the Department of Transport Systems.

This practice-oriented laboratory, equipped with the software “AXELOT TMS X4: Transport and Transportation Management,” will allow students to acquire the skills necessary to manage projects to automate the transportation process.

Artem Dolgikh drew students’ attention to the significant impact of competencies related to the automation of logistics process management on the demand for graduates in the labor market. He also spoke about plans to expand cooperation between the company and SPbGASU, including in the area of improving the project activities of students.

The open laboratory is planned for conducting classes in disciplines related to the organization of road transport, seminars for students and guests of the university, and implementing applied student projects.
