From 15 April to 17 May SPbGASU hosted the qualifying stage of the All-Russian TIM Championship 2024 in building information modeling. The general partners of the event were the National Association of Designers and Surveyors (NOPRIZ) and the Metropolis company.
Inna SukhanovaAccording to Inna Sukhanova, Head of the SPbGASU Division for Digital Competence in Construction, the championship has been held for the sixth year and is constantly being improved. Among the innovations this year was the development of a platform for automating the project evaluation process, which saves jury members time and, most importantly, eliminates technical errors. In addition, Inna Ivanovna recalled that this year for the first time a school championship was held, in which students of TIM classes participated, and the League of Secondary Vocational Education (SVE) of the TIM Championship, in which the Siberian College of Transport and Construction, Novgorod Construction College, St Petersburg College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Smolensk College of Civil Engineering took part.
As part of the intra-university qualifying stage, six teams competed in the design of a multifunctional residential complex in St Petersburg. The tasks were developed and the completed projects were assessed by SPbGASU teachers and representatives of the project partners representatives: Ostec, Wizardsoft, Penoplex, ASCON, Infraeko, Semren+Mansson, ROSTerm, Samolet, Vysotskiy Consulting.
In the team competition, first place was won by the YeezyBIM team consisting of: Arina Aleksanova (architect), Yaroslav Perevalov (constructor), Philip Dryannov (heating and ventilation engineer), Anastasia Boykova (water supply and sanitation engineer), Rasiv Golovyagin (power supply engineer), Daniil Talalaev (estimator), Alina Kizchenko (TIM coordinator).
Second place went to the "BomBim" team: Alena Latash (architect), Dmitry Boretsky (constructor), Kadyr Najafov (heating and ventilation engineer), Nikita Dmitrakov (water supply and sanitation engineer), Anna Yarullina (electricity engineer), Elizaveta Kravchuk (estimator) , Vladimir Inozemtsev (TIM coordinator).
Third place was taken by BIM7 team: Anna Drapak (architect), Anton Bukhvalov (constructor), Valeria Mazaeva (heating and ventilation engineer), Olga Gavrichenkova (water supply and sanitation engineer), Sergey Sergeev (power supply engineer), Kirill Mikheev (estimator), Arina Sanzhara (TIM coordinator).
The winners in the individual competition were: Arina Aleksanova in the category “Best Architect”. In the category “Best Designer” – Yaroslav Perevalov. According to Yaroslav, the most important thing he learned at the championship was correctly implemented joint work with an architect and engineers through TIM modeling. In the category “Best Heating and Ventilation Engineer” – Polina Orlova. In the category “Best Water Supply and Sanitation Engineer” – Olga Gavrichenkova. Olga thanks the teachers and the head of the Department of Water Use and Environment Svyatoslav Fedorov for their trust, because the second-year student still has a lot to learn. The plans are to show a decent level at the All-Russian Championship. And the “Best Electrical Supply Engineer” was Anna Yarullina.
Anna Yarullina said that she participated in the championship for the first time, but had heard about it. She understood what it was like to work in a team, learned to complete assigned tasks within a certain time frame, and work with other engineers. The student plans to participate in such events more often and learn to do everything faster and better.
Daniil Talalaev won in the “Best Estimator” category. Daniil was very happy to become part of a strong team. Now he is waiting for the All-Russian stage of the championship, where he will again try to make every effort to succeed.
Vladimir Inozemtsev won the “Best TIM Coordinator” category. Vladimir says that he has been participating in the championship for the second year and experiences unforgettable emotions every time. According to the student, working in a team, solving problems in a short time, and the atmosphere of the championship are a very useful experience. The student notes that he gained a deeper understanding of the Dynamo program, mastered Navisworks, and learned how to export to IFC from Renga. In difficult moments, he turned to the coordinators of other teams or looked for information on the Internet. Vladimir’s plans are to take part in the All-Russian stage of the championship.
The best participants in the qualifying stage will represent our university at the All-Russian stage of the TIM Championship, which will be held in October-November 2024.
