SPbGASU Students Are Winners of the Fifth All-Russian Interuniversity Competition in the “Effective Design” Competency

Two teams of students from the SPbGASU Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services, under the guidance of senior lecturer at the Department of Structural Physics, Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering Rostislav Baruzdin, took part in the Fifth All-Russian Interuniversity Competition of students in the competency “Effective Design” in the specialty 13.03.02 Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering (bachelor’s degree), which passed on 22–23 November. One of the teams consisting of Glafira Bachmanova, Maria Kanoute and Elizaveta Zubryakova took second place in the “Technical Implementation” category. Anna Yarullina, Sergey Sergeev and Dmitry Plutok received certificates of participation.

On 19 December, the awarding of diplomas and certificates to the participants of the competition took place, which was conducted by the manager of the ETM company for interaction with universities and industry training centers, an honorary member of the club of IT directors of St Petersburg, Igor Myalkovsky.

The competition is held twice a year - every semester, in conditions of maximum approximation to a real production facility, capital construction, repair or modernization of electrical equipment.

The competition develops skills in the effective use of digital technologies in a single information space when designing power supply systems; reasoned sale of your technical solution to a demanding customer under time constraints, budget and subjective preferences of the customer; the fastest possible selection of products simultaneously according to price/quality indicators/the ability to plan work on site, starting in the morning of the day following the order, availability of certificates, availability of goods in warehouses in your region, other regions, restrictions on “parallel import”; reducing “paper” document flow to a minimum.
