Svetlana G. Golovina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, SPbGASU, emphasized that this method of organizing work with applicants is convenient both for the applicants and for the members of the Admission Committee.
The main advantages of this service, of course, are the saving of particularly valuable during the admission campaign time, the money for long-distance travel, living expenses, as well as the lack of a queue when submitting documents. The advantages of the super service for members of the Committee are obvious: it saves time and efforts. The data will come to universities already verified; the authenticity of documents will be established, so the work of university employees will be greatly simplified. We hope that this service will successfully pass the test and significantly improve the rules for admission to higher education institutions.
Earlier, during the admission campaign, applicants had to search for data on university admission campaigns themselves on universities’ websites themselves. Next year, it will be possible to compare them on one site, make decisions, better understand the current situation.
“Our university takes an active part in the development of the super service. Employees have visited and will keep going to Moscow to discuss these innovations in detail. A lot of questions to ask, a lot of work to do. After the New Year, we will already decide on the technical implementation of the system in the work of our university,” says Natalya Orlova, Executive Secretary of the SPbGASU Admission Committee.
It is worth noting that the rules for admission for the next year have already been changed: applicants will be able to apply both offline and online.
