Olga Pastukh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering for Research, Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural and Engineering Constructions, gave a lecture on 29 September as part of the All-Russian educational campaign “Share your knowledge.”

• The event, held in the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, was organized by the Russian Society “Knowledge”.

The lecture “Fr om a sketch to an architectural masterpiece” took place at school No. 93 in the Pushkinsky district of St Petersburg. High school students learned about the peculiarities of interaction between architects, engineers and other specialists.

Olga Pastukh invited the children to follow the path of creating a masterpiece from a sketch to the implemented project. On this path, not only the architectural idea is important, but also the achievements of engineering, bold design solutions and modern technological capabilities of the construction industry.

After the lecture, the students received information about the organization of the educational process at SPbGASU. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, university students develop both individual objects and complex projects for the renovation of the urban environment, taking into account all aspects of sustainable development.

The schoolchildren showed great interest and actively asked questions about entering SPbGASU, wh ere students master in-demand professions.

The managers of school No. 93 expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation with the university in the field of career guidance.
