On 19 November, the exhibition hall of the SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture has opened an exhibition of the best diploma projects. At the opening ceremony awards were presented to laureates and diploma winners of the XXXIII International competition of the best final qualification works in architecture, design and art and the International competition of scientific and educational-methodical literature on architecture, design and art, which are held by the Interregional Public Organization for the Promotion of Architectural Education (MOOSAO).

The SPbGASU Faculty of Architecture submitted 64 final qualification works for the competition, including 26 bachelor's theses and 38 master's theses. The Department of Architectural Design submitted 22, the Department of Urban Planning - 13, the Department of Architectural and Urban Heritage - 15, and the Department of Architectural Environment Design - 14 works.

The level of works presented by our university is traditionally high: almost all of them were awarded with 1st degree diplomas of the Moscow Architectural Institute, the Union of Architects of Russia, the Union of Designers of Russia, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and others. Anna Baranova (supervised by Mikhail Vilensky) was awarded a diploma of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, and Denis Lysyuk (supervised by Oleg Romanov, Igor Demenov and Aleksandr Veshnyakov) received a Lazar Khidekel diploma. The largest number of additional awards were received by final qualification works presented by the Departments of Urban Planning and Architectural and Urban-Planning Heritage. All supervisors of the awarded final qualification works were also awarded with MOOSAO diplomas.

SPbGASU submitted five books to the competition of scientific and educational-methodical literature, all of which were awarded MOOSAO 1st degree diplomas. In addition, the textbook by the Head of the Department of Urban Planning Yulia Yankovskaya received an additional award - a diploma from the Union of Moscow Architects.
