
SPbGASU representatives attended a strategic session within the business program of the All-Russian Championship of Professional Skills "Professionals", held at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center in St Petersburg, on the topic "Consortium and "Professionals": the best solutions in the field of training engineering personnel". A ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between SPbGASU and the Association of Educational Organizations "Consortium for the Development of School Engineering and Technology Education" took place. On behalf of SPbGASU, the agreement was signed by Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Viktoria Vinogradova.
The main objectives of cooperation within the framework of the agreement are the popularization of the most in-demand working professions and competencies among teenagers and young people, the identification, development and support of talented and promising youth and young specialists with a high level of professional skills, and assistance in their employment, the development and improvement of the quality of engineering education, the creation of new and the development of existing professional competencies taking into account the specifics of the regions of the Russian Federation in accordance with the demands of the real sector of the economy.
"Our main task is continuous professional education from school to enterprise. Therefore, the entire range of events that take place within the consortium is focused on this area with the support of our social partners - secondary vocational education institutions, universities, high-tech enterprises," said Vera Knyazeva, President of the Association of Educational Organizations.
Today, the consortium includes 121 participants from 28 regions of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan: 92 general education organizations, 13 higher education institutions, 8 technical colleges, 2 institutions for advanced professional education of teachers, 4 enterprises of high-tech industries, the Partnership of Polytechnic Schools, and the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center "Unity Park".
