The event was organized by School No. 334 of the Nevsky District of St Petersburg. Young participants from 13 regions completed interesting practice-oriented cases in areas in demand on the labor market: "IT", "Transport and logistics", "Production". The developers of the tasks and experts were students and teachers of the leading technical colleges and universities of the city, specialists of industry enterprises. Thus, schoolchildren expanded their understanding of modern professions and increased motivation to get an education and design a professional career.
The event was attended by representatives of the SPbGASU Faculty of Automobile and Road Building: Head of the Department of Transport Maintenance Igor Chernyaev and Associate Professor at the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines Aleksandr Belyaev acted as experts in the competence of "Equipment Maintenance Engineer", Deputy Dean for Research, Associate Professor at the Department of Land Transport and Technological Machines Roman Litvin - in the competence of "Robotechnician". The teachers assessed the tasks completed by the contestants and determined the winners.
SPbGASU students Eva Boglaeva, Daniil Parfeni (fourth-year students of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building) and Timur Umarov (second-year students of the FARB) together with the head of the mechatronics and robotics laboratory Vladimir Klug held a pre-professional workshop "Robotechnician" for the contestants, future engineers. There they talked about the control system of mobile robots, their structure and demonstrated their programming and control based on mobile robot kits. All foresight participants showed good motivation to study professional competencies in demand on the labor market, which is an important step in the development of engineering education.
The Dean of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building of our university, Andrey Zazykin, took part in the award ceremony for the winners and laureates.
"I am grateful to the foresight organizers for the high level of the event, for attracting new educational institutions, social partners, businesses, industries, administrations, which raises this event to a new professional level. It was pleasing to see contestants with an active life position, I was happy with their choice of such sought-after professional fields," noted Andrey Vyacheslavovich.
