Ivan Baranovsky

On 27 December, the first meeting of the members of the Youth Parliament under the Legislative Assembly of St Petersburg took place. The event was attended by representatives of our university: second-year master's student of the Faculty of Architecture Aleksandra Polyanskaya and third-year student of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services Ivan Baranovsky, elected to the parliament by online voting. Earlier, Aleksandra and Ivan successfully passed the correspondence and in-person rounds.

It should be noted that 32 out of 64 participants were supposed to pass the final, third stage.

The meeting began with a tour of the Mariinsky Palace, where the Legislative Assembly is located. The participants of the event were able to learn more about the history of this place and understand how important decisions for the city are made. The tour inspired the students and broadened their perspectives.

After the excursion, the first official meeting took place, where the participants exchanged greetings and discussed plans for the near future. The meeting ended with congratulations on the upcoming New Year.
