On the “78” TV channel in the “Open Studio” program, experts discussed how to stop the increase in road accidents with serious consequences and deaths. Stanislav Evtyukov, DSc in Engineering, Head of the SPbGASU Department of Transport Systems, took part in the discussion.
According to Stanislav Evtyukov, for 30 years the number of road accidents and the number of their victims has been steadily decreasing. The increase was observed only in 1998, 2008 and this year. A representative of our university connected this with socio-economic factors and with the redistribution of transport flows that is typical today.
Stanislav Evtyukov, a member of the Road Safety Commission under the Governor of St Petersburg, spoke about the measures being taken to reduce the number of accidents.
