Medals for contribution to the development of science and technology in the field of seismic construction were awarded at an off-site meeting of the Scientific and Technical Expert Council of the Eurasian Association for Seismology, Earthquake Engineering and Protection from Natural Disasters (Eurasian Seismic Association) on 25 May in St Petersburg. They were awarded to the SPbGASU scientists: visiting professor at the Department of Construction Mechanics, DSc in Engineering Yury Rutman and Professor at the Department of Metal and Timber Constructions, DSc in Engineering Tatiana Belash.

The prizes were awarded by the Decree of the Presidium of the Eurasian Seismic Association dated 23 May, 2023. Yury Lazarevich Rutman and Tatiana Aleksandrovna Belash are recognized leaders in certain areas of anti-seismic construction. They continue to work actively to improve seismic isolation and seismic protection systems, and act as members of the dissertation council 24.2.380.01 in specialties 2.1.1 . Engineering structures, buildings and constructions and 2.1.9. Construction mechanics.
