On 28th November, 2017 a meeting of representatives of State Unitary Enterprise «Water canal of St.-Petersburg» with students of III course of profile specialties for the enterprise took place at the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering. Organizers of the meeting was «Water canal of St.-Petersburg», water use and ecology department and service of assistance to employment.

The future engineers were shown a film about the enterprise, were told about high technologies of neutralization of deposit of sewage and invited to participate in a new project of "Water canal" « Best research work among students».

The competition purpose - popularization of professions and specialties of the branch of water and sewage utilities, formation of a reserve of highly-skilled personnel and development of the initiative of students in the field of academic-research works. The competition tasks: revealing talented students; an estimation and increase of level of training students; deepening theoretical knowledge and development of practical skills of students; creation of support system of talented students. All participants of the competition are awarded by diplomas. The winner will have practical training at the enterprise with further work employment, training on the course «Modern technologies of water supply and water removal» with visiting industrial objects.

At the end of the meeting representatives of the enterprise answered student’ questions. Young people were interested, what big projects "Water canal" has had so far, whether it is possible to combine internal study and work, how to get to the personnel reserve.

The director of the personnel department Т. V.Kudryashova urged students to pass a full cycle of training practice - from introductory training to pre-degree one as this raises their chances of successful employment.

After the meeting with students there was a round table with the management and the high school faculty on which prospects of cooperation of State Unitary Enterprise «Water canal of St.-Petersburg», Water Academy and SPSUACE were discussed.
